Karlovy Vary

Karlovy Vary is the biggest Czech spa town with a 600 years tradition.


Town was founded around the year 1350 by Roman emperor and Czech king Charles IV.

It has around 55 000 inhabitants and yearly is visited by 70 000 spa guests.


Tha spa center is situated in a picturesque valley, which was deepened by river Teplá.


Town is extraordinary with its healing termal springs and a natural geyser, called Vřídlo

Among the historical monuments you can visit a barocque church of Mary Magdalene, klasicist and art nouveau buildings.


In the area of Karlovy Vary are traditionally produced porcelain, cristal glass (Moser), herb liquer Becherovka, healing cosmetics, souvenirs and salt from the hot spring stone.
